System Care offers a full selection of tools to analyse, clean, and optimize your PC. As a bundle it doesn’t feature anything that stands out from similar packages, but it is a solid offering.
Protect and improve
By packaging tools together, System Care aims to stop you needing separate apps to perform every PC maintenance task. It proves a handy one-stop-shop for users who are not as technically savy or those who do not want apps for every individual task. The downside: this makes for a bulkier program if you don’t want everything offered.
The two key features of System Care are its Registry Cleaner and its Malware Remover. The first of these resolves and removes registry issues from your machine that slow its performance. The second does as you may expect, scanning your system and browser for infected programs and removing them to keep you safe.
While both of these function well, there are free apps available (such as CCleaner and Avast) that do the same. This comes down to personal preference and whether you want everything done in a single spot or are happy to pick programs in a more a la carte fashion.
To add more value to the package, System Care includes other features. A Startup Manager is on hand to help you control your PC's start process, helping you improve the boot time and performance. A fast scan mechanism also helps to identify and remove threats, improve performance, and keep the program up to date.
One thing to note: our test system did not require too much work as it is constantly reset. This made it hard to assess the overall gains from each tool.
One of System Care’s other major selling points is its 24 hour care, seven days a week, 365 days a year for all its customers. This can be a huge advantage if you do run into any problems that the program can’t immediately solve for you – or if you are struggling to use it.
A full package
There are other alternatives, but System Care does what it promises. If it suits your needs, then it is a handy single package.
